A London flight of your own

A more personal way to see London.

Private here is simple: the helicopter is reserved for your party. From lift-off to the first view of the Thames, the experience belongs to the people you came with.

The 30 minute option takes the familiar London sightseeing experience and makes the aircraft yours for the flight. You still get the excitement of the helicopter and the capital opening beneath you, but without joining a normal seat-by-seat tour.

The 60 minute option changes the character again. More time in the air gives the flight room to become genuinely bespoke, with the opportunity to ask for a route shaped around the places or areas that matter most to your party.

That does not mean every route can be promised in advance. London airspace, weather and operating requirements still matter. But it does mean the longer flight can feel much more like your London experience than a fixed sightseeing circuit.

Choose your private flight

Two ways to make London yours from above.

Both options reserve the helicopter for your party. The real decision is whether you want the classic private sightseeing experience, or a longer flight with room to make the route more personal.

If having the helicopter to yourselves is not essential, the City and Grand tours may be the better fit.

London beneath you

See London from a completely different point of view.

From the air, famous landmarks become part of one enormous cityscape. The exact view depends on your departure point, the route flown and any bespoke route request, but the map gives you a taste of the London sights that can appear below.

One of the clearest anchors on the Thames, Tower Bridge is especially striking from the air because its towers, bascules and river setting can be understood in a single glance.

Good to know

A few things worth knowing before you make it private.

Private sounds simple, and mostly it is. The questions below cover the bits that genuinely change which flight is right for you.

What does private actually mean?

The helicopter is reserved for your party. You are not buying individual seats and then waiting to see who else joins the flight.

That makes the experience feel more personal from the moment you board, whether you are flying as a couple, a family or a small group.

What is the real difference between the 30 and 60 minute tours?

The 30 minute option is the straightforward private London sightseeing choice: the aircraft is yours and the capital is the focus.

The 60 minute option gives you twice the flying time and, more importantly, room to make the experience more personal. It is the one to choose if the bespoke side of a private helicopter flight is part of the appeal.

Can we choose what we see on the 60 minute flight?

After booking, a dedicated member of the team will contact you to discuss what you would most like from the flight and help plan the experience in advance. That gives you the chance to prioritise the places or areas that matter most to your party rather than treating the hour as a rigid sightseeing circuit.

The final route still has to work within the flying time, local airspace, weather and operating conditions, so no individual landmark or exact track should be treated as guaranteed.

Which London landmarks might we see?

Depending on the departure point and route flown, London sightseeing can include views towards landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, Tower Bridge and The O2, with the wider skyline around them.

The landmark explorer above is there to help you imagine the experience, not to promise a fixed checklist for every private flight.

Where can the private London flights depart from?

Current London options include Fairoaks Airport near Woking, Biggin Hill Airport, Redcroft Fields near South Ockendon, Grays Helipad, White Waltham Airfield near Maidenhead and Blackbushe Airport near Camberley.

Not every location offers both flight lengths, which is why the departure map separates the 30 minute, 60 minute and dual-option sites.

How many people can fly privately?

Aircraft and available passenger capacity can vary by departure point and operating day. The current 60 minute product information is framed around a private aircraft for up to four passengers, but the final capacity for your chosen flight is confirmed during booking.

That is also why we present the private prices per aircraft rather than trying to turn them into a fixed per-person figure.

How much time should we allow on the day?

For the 30 minute private tour, it is sensible to allow around an hour in total. For the 60 minute bespoke flight, allow around 90 minutes.

That gives time for check-in, the safety briefing and the usual pre-flight preparations, as well as the flight itself, without making the experience feel rushed.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable?

Helicopter sightseeing is weather dependent, so there will be days when the safest decision is not to fly. If that happens, the experience can be rearranged in line with the booking terms and availability.

It may move the day you had in mind, but for a private London flight the view is a big part of what you are paying for. Waiting for conditions that let the flight be enjoyed properly is the better outcome.

Your London. Your flight.

Choose the private London experience that fits the occasion.

Keep it to around 30 minutes for private sightseeing, or give yourself around an hour and make the flight more personal.
